Well it is official, my year of maternity leave has come to an end. :( It has been the most exciting, challenging and wonderful year of my life and I am so sad to put it behind me. But on the brighter side of things, I am so excited for the year to come with new Challenges and changes!
One in paticular is that I have taken on a new Role with Alberta Treasury Branch were rather than being a Small Business Advisor, I am now the new Business Develpment Manger-Card Services for Northern Alberta adn I started on the 24th of this month. My area that I will be taking care of is from La Crete, Manning area all the way to St. Paul, Cold Lake. There are 42 Branches inwhich will be under me.....Ya I know...What am I thinking!! But this job gives me the flexability to work out of my home and travel around my family schedule. With Trent having days off as well makes it possible for them to come on some of these road trips which will be great and I will not have to be away.
As for Kendall, She has and will encounter some big changes as well. She is being looked after by Trent on his days off and when he goes on days on (back to work) we have been fortunate enough to find a wonderful Day home here in Sexsmith were she is being well looked after. It really has given her some great time with other children and she has been so happy being there with Mrs. Peters. She is so pooped after being there that she is actually sleeping through the night! Kendall is the youngest of the group and all of the children love her dearly and want to hold her, or feed her, or just snuggle her. One of the children have made the comment that "Kendall is the funnest baby package EVER!!" We are truly blessed to have met the Peters family and are so happy that she is under such wonderful care!
Today was so special for us all....Kendall took her first steps and I was able to witness them when I picked her up from the Peters. I guess being around all of the children has given Kendall the encouragement she needed......now life is about to get very interesting!!
Anyways I have posted some pictures of all the snow we have had this January as well as Kendall's First hockey game and a walk in the park we took last Sunday before the busy week of trying to balance work life/family life! Hope you all enjoy!
